Seeking a Renewable Energy Intern

Position Overview:

RedWind Renewables is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Renewable Energy Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy industry, working alongside experienced professionals on various projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about renewable energy, eager to learn, a self-starter, and can easily multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with project development activities, including site selection, permitting, and feasibility assessments for wind and solar energy projects.
  2. Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements to support project planning and decision-making.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project proposals, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Research, engage and market projects to investors adhering to a disciplined approach.
  5. Assist with data collection, management, and analysis using relevant software tools and databases.
  6. Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in renewable energy technologies and practices.
  7. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation projects within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in engineering, finance, law, environmental science, renewable energy, or related field.
  • Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability, with a desire to pursue a career in the industry.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Prior internship or coursework experience in renewable energy, engineering, or environmental studies is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Be able to work remotely, and manage time appropriately.

Duration and Compensation:

This is a paid internship position with a duration of 3 months, ideally from mid-May through mid-August. The internship may be extended based on performance and business needs. RedWind Renewables offers competitive compensation, along with opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
