Daniel Rustowicz, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Rustowicz formed RedWind Consulting in the Fall of 2008. Prior to starting his own venture, he was the Chief Development Officer of a privately held Minnesota renewables company. In November 2017, RedWind changed its name to RedWind Renewables to reflect its deliberate strategy shift to include utility scale development, which today is its primary focus.
Formerly, Mr. Rustowicz was the Manager, Business Development Wind Energy for John Deere Credit. His contributions in Corporate Business Development, in which Strategic Growth Initiatives are researched, analyzed, and acted upon, as its "Team Leader" for the Wind Initiative were instrumental in commercializing the wind business for John Deere prior to its move to John Deere Credit, and growing the business from an incubator in Corporate Business Development to close to $1B enterprise.
Before spearheading the wind initiative, he worked at various divisions within Deere & Company including Construction & Forestry. Nortrax and the North American Ag Marketing Center. Prior to joining Deere, he received a MBA from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business after spending approximately five years with Ernst & Young, LLP as a Senior Auditor.
Mr. Rustowicz received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and All College Honors Distinction from Canisius College. He is a CPA, inactive in the State of NY, and Eagle Scout.
Mr. Rustowicz is a single Father of three children, and a New Yorker at heart. He Coaches both basketball and travel baseball for his son Pierce, and coached volleyball for his daughter Ava.
Sheridan Martin – Land Acquisition Manager
A Graduate of Morehead St. University, cum laude, with a BS in Political Science and English. Then onto Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase College of Law where he graduated with a Juris Doctorate and served as President of the Student Bar Association, class of 1992.
After practicing law for over 14 years in Kentucky, Mr. Martin transitioned to Texas to work with one of Shell Oil's and then to Energen Resources' contract land companies where he did surface land negotiations to obtain right of way and settlement of surface damages.
After working in the West Texas oilfields he transitioned into Renewable Energy doing acquisition work on projects in South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky.
He splits his time between wind development in Minnesota and solar development in Kentucky where he has prospected and identified multiple locations for solar development that will bring jobs and revenue to East Kentucky, an area once known for its coal production. Kentucky is where Mr. Martin was reared and spent over 20 years in law and business. Kentucky is his home.
Over the years he has honed his skills in negotiation and acquisition having dealt with hundreds of landowners and clients successfully acquiring hundreds of leases covering thousands of acres in the Midwest and Appalachia.
Over the years he has served on the Morehead State University Board of Regents, The Kentucky Council on Post-Secondary Education as well several local boards and commissions. Finally, Mr. Martin is the caretaker of Chester, his 14 pound barn cat.
